Stunning New Sculpture Trail Launches at Pensthorpe – A Must-See NSTA Member Experience

The Norfolk & Suffolk Tourist Attractions (NSTA) are delighted to spotlight one of our fantastic members, Pensthorpe, as they unveil an inspiring new Sculpture Trail for summer 2025. Opening to the public on Saturday 7th June, this special exhibition will bring together eight acclaimed UK artists, each contributing striking artworks that complement Pensthorpe’s breathtaking natural landscape.

Nestled on the outskirts of Fakenham, the 700-acre reserve has long embraced the harmony of art and nature. Now, this exciting new trail builds on that tradition, with installations handpicked to reflect Pensthorpe’s passion for conservation and creativity.

“We have always sought to harmonise art and nature within our stunning landscape,” says Deb Jordan, co-owner of Pensthorpe. “The introduction of new installations by talented guest artists adds an exciting new dimension and builds on our long history of integrating art into our reserve.”

From striking metalwork and illuminated sculpture to intricate mosaics and woven willow, the Sculpture Trail invites visitors to experience the gardens and wild spaces of Pensthorpe through fresh artistic eyes. Each piece has been thoughtfully placed to align with the artists’ vision and the natural surroundings.

Jonathan Pearce, Head Gardener at Pensthorpe, added:

“The addition of these sculptures elevates our visitors’ experience and adds an extra dimension of enjoyment. The location of each piece means people get to experience them exactly as the artist wishes.”

Running until Tuesday 30th September, the trail is included with standard admission—making it an ideal addition to any summer day out in Norfolk. Selected pieces by local artists including Amberlights and LV Bespoke will also be available for purchase through the Pensthorpe shop.

More Than Just Art

While exploring the trail, visitors can enjoy everything Pensthorpe has to offer—from the renowned Millennium Garden designed by Chelsea Gold Medallist Piet Oudolf, to family favourites like the Poo Trail, Migration Maze, and outstanding indoor and outdoor play areas.
